This project aims to create a spatial design atlas for the sustainable conservation and development of Gelderland's castles and historic country estates in a landscape context. Knowledge of the landscape structure and coherence is linked to development opportunities through design research and research through design on multiple scales. Spatial design strategies and principles for future-proof landscape development is the central theme. TU Delft Landscape Architecture, the Province of Gelderland and Gelders Genootschap work together with country estate owners, municipalities, water boards and other stakeholders. The project is part of KaDEr and Innocastle.
